Abstract

Teng and Goyal (2007) consider optimal ordering policies for a retailer in a supply chain with up-stream and down-stream trade credits. Their inventory models are correct and interesting. However, processes of proofs and arguments of Theorems 1 and 2 in Teng and Goyal (2007) fill shortcomings such that validities of their proofs are questionable. From the viewpoint of logic, their proofs are not complete. So, the main purpose of this paper is to remove those shortcomings and present complete proofs for Teng and Goyal (2007).
