Abstract

In this study, the homotopy analysis method (HAM) and fractional reduced differential transform method (FRDTM) are executed to solve the reaction–diffusion-type time fractional Newell–Whitehead–Segel (NWS) partial differential equation. Experimental evidence is given to demonstrate the efficiency of these methods. The concept of fractional derivatives is taken in Caputo sense. The obtained outcomes are compared with each other and found that the solution formed by HAM has greater potential than FRDTM to solve linear and nonlinear fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs).
