Abstract
Background and Aim: Sperm cryopreservation medium containing TYB has been considered as the most successful iteration for superior post-thaw viability, albeit requiring processing before intra-uterine insemination (IUI). TYB-free, glycerol-only sperm cryopreservation media, permit the direct performance of IUI post-thaw, saving time and laboratory workload for processing, mitigating the potential introduction of errors. We aimed to determine if there is a commercially available glycerol-only sperm cryopreservation medium producing superior post-thaw sperm quality parameters, including DNA fragmentation.
