Abstract

THOUSANDS of chemists, engineers, and technically trained executives in research, development, design, and production will attend the Exposition of Chemical Industries to be held, as usual, in the Grand Central Palace during the week of Nov. 26 to Dec. 1. Since its inception in 1915, the Exposition of Chemical Industries has served as an essential element in the mass dissemination of industrial chemistry and technology. The first one helped to allay the panic among consumers of chemicals fearing that American chemists and the American chemical industry were incapable of supplying the products normally imported from abroad, chiefly from Germany. The expositions which followed provided periodically occurring focal points where producers of chemicals, equipment, and scientific apparatus could meet with the consumers of these items.
