Abstract
The serious and frequent collisions suffered by cage of cylindrical roller bearing may lead to cage instability, where its flexibility may play an important role but is often neglected. In this paper, a dynamic model of cylindrical roller bearing considering flexible cage constructed by lintels and cross beams flexibilities is established based on the lumped-mass approach. The dynamics between rigid and flexible cage are compared, the collision and trajectory of cage mass center are discussed under different lintel and cross beam flexibility and clearance ratio. It may be beneficial to the cage structural optimization and improve the cage stability of cylindrical roller bearing.
