Abstract

The coirradiated decomposition of barius and strontium azides using high intensity UV light has been studied in the temperature range 190–135°C. Activation energies have been determined for different light intensities. It is proposed that thermal and photolytic decomposition occur concurrently during all stages of decomposition.
