Abstract
Descriptions of the Clovis projectile point currently reflected within the literature are summarized. An in depth review of Clovis point general characteristics and technological attributes is provided, followed by a detailed type description. Technological rationale is presented which excludes a majority of eastern fluted points from the Clovis classification.
