Abstract

1) The rate of recurrence became greater, when the patients were observed longer period. 2) That of the recurrence of incomplete healing type were all the type of the same location, frequently observed at the angle, and occurred shortly after the disappearance of white coating. 3) The recurrence of acute exacerbation type appeared frequently at the margin of the preexisting scar, and observed more oftenly, at the body as compared with at the angle. 4) The recurrence of acute ulcer type appeared apart from the preexisting scar, and has a tendency to form the multiple ulcers. 5) The recurrence of gastric ulcer at the angle has a tendency to appear transversely in distribution. 6) The recurrence of the marginal type in the posterior wall of the body has a tendency to appear toward the lesser curvature, and the recurrence of the neighbouring type to spread toward the oral side. 7) The recurrence of either the acute exacerbation type or intermediate type might be resulted frequently from occupational overwork of the patients, but in some instances no definite exogenous factors were found.
