Abstract
Objective To study the effect of the low negative pressure drainage by tubing through anal canal in patients of fecal incontinence. Methods studying the effect of the persistent low negative pressure drains by placing silastic catheter through anal canal and connecting it with low negative pressure bottle in 21 patients of fecal incontinence comparing the result with that in 15 patients of fecal incontinence who are not placed silastic Catheter to drainage the stool. Results Low negative pressure drainage drains water-like and pasty stool significantly effectively in patients of fecal incontinence (P<0.01 21 cases drainage VS 15 cases without drainage).Conclusions Low negative pressure drainage is suitable for patients of water-like and pasty fecal incontinence, prevents anal skin inflammation, reduces nurse work, is a new simple and safe method for nursing patients of fecal incontinence and value for clinical use.
