Abstract

Objective: The importance of preserving the superior petrosal vein has received increasing attention in the surgical treatment of pathologies involving the petrous apex. However, there is no study available so far focusing on the occurrence and the frequency of postoperative complications following petrosal vein obliteration. This study aims to analyze the postoperative complications and to establish pre- and intraoperative findings related to them following petrosal vein obliteration.
