Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of safflower yellow pigment on serum level of SOD,MDA and CAT in acute cerebral infarction.Methods One hundred and twenty-one cases of acute cerebral infarction were selected from November 2007 to November 2009,and were randomly divided into observation group and control group.The routine therapy was used in control group,and on the basis of the routine therapy,safflower yellow pigment lyophilized powder(100 mg) was used in observation group,one time in a day.The course in two groups was 14 days.Before and after treatment,Chinese stroke scale(CSS)and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) was performed to detect the neurologic impairment.The level of SOD,MDA,CAT were detected before and after treatment.the clinical efficacy was evaluated after treatment.Results ① the score of CSS and NIHSS in observation group after treatment compared with those in control group after treatment,there was statistical difference(P<0.05).②The obvious effective rate in observation group compared with that in control group,there was statistical difference(P<0.05).③the level of SOD,MDA,CAT in observation after treatment compared with those in control group after treatment respectively,there was statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusions Safflower yellow pigment can inhabit lipid peroxidation in acute cerebral infarction.And improve the ability of antioxidation,decrease the brain tissue injury,improve the neurologic impairment.
