Abstract

Objective To explore the mental state and nursing countermeasures of perioperative patients with carcinoma of penis.Methods The self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and self-rating depressive scale(SDS) were used to investigate the mental state of 105 patients selected radical operation carcinoma of penis. Questionnaire survey was used in the patients with anxiety or depression, to find out their most psychological problems in perioperative period of surgery, in order to design and carry out focused nursing programs and strategies.Results Over 67% patients with carcinoma of penis appeared depression before surgery, and average value of SAS total score of anxiety passed 40, the value was significantly higher than that of upper limit of China norm. The SAS and SDS scores were statistical differences between before and after carrying out mental nursing to the patients with anxiety or depression, P<0.01. There were 81% of patients with most psychological problem was psychosexual disorder, and the rate fell to 20% P<0.01, the difference was significant.Conclusions The patients with carcinoma of penis in perioperative period of surgery had obvious psychological problem, carrying out focused nursing strategies on demand can effectively eliminate or change psychological problem, improve the quality of life.
