Abstract
A scientific session of the Physical Sciences Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) on the climate of the Earth was held in the conference hall of the Lebedev Physical Institute, RAS, on 12 April 2011.The following reports were put on the session agenda posted on the web site www.gpad.ac.ru of the Physical Sciences Division, RAS: (1) Nigmatulin R I (Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, RAS, Moscow) “Ocean and climate”; (2) Byalko A V (Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics, RAS, Chernogolovka, Moscow region; journal Priroda of the Presidium of RAS) “Relaxation theory of climate.”A paper written based on report 2 is published below. • Relaxation theory of climate, A V Byalko Physics-Uspekhi, 2012, Volume 55, Number 1, Pages 103–108
