Abstract

All too often in the past urinary sheaths have been dismissed as having failed their user and carer simply because they have been poorly fitted or incorrectly measured. This article looks at the progressive development of the urinary incontinence sheath, from the various 'home-made' appliances that people with bladder problems conjured up, to today's more effective, more reliable products, such as the Clear Advantage all-silicone urinary incontinence sheath from Seton Continence Care.
