Abstract

The concept of public space has a long history and very different meanings In particular, the conceptions of political theory and philosophy differ from those heralded by urban planners and sociologists, fueling some confusion about the «public space» applications In this contribution, this complexity is put under tension with the type of planetary urbanization we were used to before the arrival of the Covid-19 We will end with a reflection on the possible effects that the pandemic has on the city and on its public space © 2020 Societa Editrice il Mulino All rights reserved
