Abstract

Cuvier’s gazelle (Fig. 1), also known as the Edmi gazelle (Ogilby, 1841) inhabits the mountainous areas of northwest Africa from Morocco and northern Algeria to central Tunisia. Although now nearly extinct [8], they were found in the Atlas and Anti Atlas mountains, the Bani Hills south of the Anti Atlas and the high plateau between the Tellian and Saharan Atlas mountains [5].
