Abstract

The Kaifeng Jewish community and the experiences of American, European, and Baghdadi Jewish settlers and/or refugees in China have been analyzed in a substantial number of books, exhibition catalogs, periodical and newspaper articles, dissertations and theses, yearbooks, and newsletters written in at least thirteen languages including Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hebrew, Japanese, Norwegian, Russian, Spanish, and Yiddish. This bibliography offers a selection of these publications, among them representative contemporary reports, popular and autobiographical accounts, and scholarly works. As such, it complements the bibliographical citations appearing elsewhere in these two volumes and provides a reasonably up-to-date, classified overview, particularly of English-language works about Jews in China.
