Abstract

Summary An increasing number of children are finding themselves in court to give evidence, perhaps as the victims of crime, or as witnesses. ‘The Child Witness Pack’ (NSPCC/Childline, 1993) aims to provide help and support for children and young people facing the daunting prospect of attending court. It developed out of the work of a number of agencies, the Home Office, the Lord Chancellor's Department, the Crown Prosecution Service, The Department of Health and some voluntary organisations, including the NSPCC and Childline.
