Abstract
Abstract The synthesis of chelates of divalent copper, nickel, zinc, lead, mercury, cobalt and manganese with nitrilotriacetic acid is described. Structural information on coordination of the ligand with the metal can be obtained from infrared spectroscopy, especially by a study of the carboxyl and CN stretching frequencies.
