Abstract

The average mass of the K + and K − was measured in the reaction e +e − → φ → K +K − at the VEPP 2M storage ring as the difference of the energy of the colliding beam and the kaon kinetic energy and was found to be 493.670 ± 0.029 MeV. The energy of the colliding beams was determined by the resonance depolarization method. The kaon kinetic energy was found from range measurements in nuclear emulsion.
