Abstract
The charge ratio of near vertical muons has been measured by the Durgapur cosmic ray spectrograph. The mean value over the whole momentum range is 1.28 ± 0.01. In the region of 50 GeV/ c there is the suggestion of a slight reduction (to ∼ 1.21) and above 100 GeV/ c the ratio appears to increase slightly. Possible interpretations are discussed.
