Abstract

The fine characteristics of hybrid ceramic ball bearing are introduced by Herz contact stress theory, meanwhile, researching into the contact stress, axial and radial preload of hybrid ceramic ball bearing. Also, taking the CNC machine tool spindle with hybrid ceramic ball bearings for example, having the reference to the same type of completely steel bearing, the thesis introduces the position of the bearing in electric spindle and the contraction methods between front and back bearing, analyzes some key parameters that affect the preload, and at the same time gets the heat, vibration by many repeated experiments at different rotational speed, axial and radial preload. Compared with the same type of steel bearing, the significant variation of maximum contact stress, axial and radial stiffness are gained. The results show that hybrid ceramic ball bearing is more suitable for high speed and heavy load electric spindle for its low heat, high stiffness. This thesis researches into the dynamic characteristics of hybrid ceramic ball bearing through analysis calculation and experiment verification, therefore, the data is reliable, which also lays a solid speciality foundation to professional and technical person for their bearing and machine tool spindle optimum design test and some other aspects.
