Abstract

In Nanpu sag, the main space type in limestone reservoirs is tectonic fracture, followed by dissolved space, including pores, cavities, and fractures; for dolomite reservoirs the main type is intercrystal space, including pores, dissolved pores, and cavities. The origins of limestone reservoirs are much different from those of dolomites. Limestone reservoirs are controlled by tectonic fractures, which are the key elements for the formation of dissolved pores/cavities/fractures. During the formulation of dolomites, intercrystal pores, which are subsequently denudated by hydrothermal fluids, are eventually formed as numerous intercrystal dissolved cores, cavities, and fractures.
