Abstract

AbstractAbstractThis paper considers why the ordinary chaplain, giving modern clinical science care to his/her patients, is (1) THE PRIMARY EDUCATOR to help modernize USA professional schools. We then discuss (2) what a modernized theological professional school looks like. (3) The evolutionary way this can be effected by changing roles of current faculty and sharing the faculty resources of public health and medical schools, is reviewed. (4) “What will a Modernized Chaplaincy Department Look Like?” (5) An even more visionary consideration: “What could a Modern Parish Look Like?”, if theological professional schools modernized and actually equipped their professional graduates with 20th century clinical science tools, using modern public health technology, so they could care sufficiently for their cohorts of clients in the spiritual dimension of health and spiritual development.”
