Abstract

The management of psoriatic arthritis and other inflammatory arthritides has progressed significantly in the past two decades. Improved screening methods, advanced diagnostic tests, and imaging tools facilitate earlier diagnosis, with highly efficacious advanced therapies and treatment strategies leading to excellent control of disease activity and improved outcomes for affected individuals. However, there is a growing perception among rheumatologists that the clinical phenotype of new psoriatic arthritis cases presenting to early arthritis clinics is evolving, posing challenges to clinical trial recruitment.
