Abstract

On June 25, 2021, the Joint Collegiate Council for Oncology (JCCO) and the Association of Cancer Physicians released a position statement committing to improve cancer care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) communities in the UK. The statement noted that 3·6 million people in the UK identify as LGBTQ+ and the available evidence suggests that these communities experience inequalities at every stage of the cancer care pathway. The statement outlined ten action points.
