Abstract
AbstractChain transfer constants of substituted diphenyl disulfides in radical bulk polymerization of methyl methacrylate were determined. The effect of the substituent on the reactivity of the disulfide bond toward a polymethyl methacrylate radical was dependent on the electron density of the substituent. The chain transfer constant to substituted diphenyl disulfides increased negative e‐value of the polymerizing monomer.
