Abstract

The earthquake swarm of October 1947 is discussed. Investigation of the activity is described. Intensities in the epicentral region are estimated and an epicenter at Lat. 64° .2N, Long. 149°.0W is assigned. The assigned epicenter of the 1937 swarm is investigated and found to be essentially correct. Photographs of earthquake activity are included along with an isoseismal map and a plot of epicenters.
