Abstract
We investigate the spectroscopy of the charmonium (cc) and bottomonium (bb) bound states in a static flavour-independent nonrelativistic quark-antiquark (qq) two-step potential model proposed earlier. Our predictions are in good agreement with experimental data and with other theoretical predictions.
