Abstract

This paper seeks to explain the Catholic view of the relationship between philosophy and theology and to demonstrate their integration with each other. To do so the paper examines why philosophy and theology work, how they relate to each other in Catholic thought and how that relationship can be reconciled with the Magisterium. It concludes with a consideration of the present need for a relationship between philosophy and theology.
