Abstract

The report of the 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) established the “sustainable development strategy”, which includes the sustainable development of higher legal education. After the 18th National Congress of the CPC, China entered the “New Era” with General Secretary Xi Jinping as the core of the leadership of the CPC Central Committee. The “New Era” of China's legal higher education structure presents a pluralistic model. The “ New Era” s sustainable development of China's higher legal education faces the changes of two roles: First, the continuous subject evaluation by the Minister Education needs university to constantly improve their comprehensive strength; Second, the university needs to construct its inside scientific management structure about sustainability to develop it better. On this basis, a goal, which is from imitating western education to adhering to the education of Chinese native characteristics, is achieved. The paper provides the case of the situation of higher law education in one province to demonstrate that changes are necessary for the sustainability of Chinese law education. It can provide comprehensive support for the better service of the rule of law talents, building the “Belt and Road” and achieving the dream of a great China's rejuvenation at an early date.
