Abstract
The author, a gay male clinician, presents a psychotherapy case of his work with an older gay male patient. Offering excerpts of psychotherapy process, the author highlights ways in which the generation difference between therapist and patient were central to the treatment. The article ends with descriptions of the author's countertransference experience working with this patient.
