Abstract
Kristiansen, S. & Sjoholt, P. 1987. The case for analysis of international commercial relations in development research. Environmental qualities influencing international business in developing countries. Norsk geogr. Tidsskr. Vol. 41, 69–79. Oslo. ISSN 0029-1951. The authors analyse in the article some important variables in commercial interaction between industrialized countries and the developing world. Particularly for projects involving technological transfer, analysis of environmental qualities in the widest sense is indispensable for the result of the undertaking. Some examples are given in the text of consequences of the violation of this principle. Geographical studies, including a host of socio-economic, cultural and political variables, may be especially valuable in a search process. The process is mainly seen from the point of view of the provider of the goods and services. However, by way of conclusion, subsequent analyses of innovation are presented, viewed from inside the Third World countries.
