Abstract
The capacity region of the three-receiver discrete memoryless less noisy broadcast channel with message cognition is established in the case where the weakest receiver knows the message required by the strongest receiver prior to transmission. This problem was previously studied for the scalar Gaussian broadcast channel by Asadi et al but only inner and outer bounds were obtained. The capacity result of this paper can also be seen to augment the theory of the three-receiver discrete memoryless less noisy broadcast channel for which the capacity region was found previously by Nair and Wang but without message cognition.
