Abstract
The paper provides the numerical investigation on the propagation of the coal dust-air combustion front. We determined the apparent and normal burning rate of the coal dust-air suspension depending on the size and mass concentration of coal dust and on the percentage of volatile components in coal dust particles. We also made an analysis on the influence of the percentage content of volatile components on the burning rate of the suspension with small and large particle radiuses.
