Abstract
Observations of the M2,3M4,5V and M4,5VV Auger spectra of Br adsorbed on Pt(111) reveal sharp quasiatomic features with evidence of large relaxation shifts, even though the one-electron chemisorbed states lie within the Pt conduction band.
