Abstract

The article discusses the academic emphasis of intellectual brilliance that discourages women and African Americans from certain academic domains. It views individuals that lack intelligence were condemned to trail behind their more brilliant peers in their chosen fields. It presents a survey that shows the trait of brilliance and field-specific ability of professionals in different academic fields.
