The author talks about the certain kind of hope in the increasing regularity of internet shamings. Topics include the vitriol, threats and humiliation bombarded by the public in respond to someone who makes a mistake in judgment, the easiness of starting, executing and coordinating shamings due to the anonymity and speed of the Internet, and the emergence of internet shaming as a sport that has become predictable as the novelty wears off.
