Abstract

The problem of the Dirac Comb is revisited. An estimation of the band gap, band width and effective mass is calculated for the case of a weak attractive potential. The unbound states (Positive Energy Spectrum) are examined. The results will show that, with increasing band order, the band gaps increase to an asymptotic value whereas the band widths increase indefinitely and the effective mass values are very small and decrease rapidly with alternating signs.
