The paper outlines the current state of the Bologna process discussion in Australia, with an emphasis on its potential influence on engineering programmes and their internationalisation through student and graduate mobility. The paper relates this to the importance of the Washington Accord in providing a strong framework for global professional engineering programme accreditation.
