Abstract
In this paper we estimate the resolvent of the generator of an isometric group of operators. In particular, we establish unimprovable estimates for the integral of functions that are holomorphic in a half-plane and bounded on the whole real axis. We obtain applications of the perturbation theory for linear operators.
