Abstract

AbstractNuburu introduced the first highpower blue laser to the industrial marketplace in 2017. It quickly became clear that the high‐brightness blue laser is well‐suited to address the materials processing challenges of a certain class of metals, primarily copper, but also aluminum and gold. As electronics become more prominent in everything from refrigerators to automobiles, copper, aluminum, and gold processing becomes increasingly important. Blue laser technology has rapidly improved in both power and brightness, bringing high quality and greater speed to a new range of applications.
