Abstract

Question: A 31 year-old African man with no significant past medical history presented with sudden onset severe chest pain for 2 days. The pain was sharp, constant, and exacerbated with solid or liquid diet. He stated that he consumed alcohol mixed with “African root” on the previous weekend. He also complained of intermittent fevers and infrequent dysuria. He was sexually active and monogamous.
