My connection developed through the B vitamin, biotin, and its role in the reactions catalyzed by a family of biotin-dependent enzymes, notably carboxylases
It is a curiosity that nature has brought together within the henâs egg the richest source of biotin in the yolk and in the white, a âtoxicâ factor, avidin, which when fed to animals causes biotin deficiency
