Abstract

As information technology is driven on the fast lane, the broad application of big data technology has been a new feature of modern times. However, the big data age has brought new challenges against the legacy business management model, especially in performance management and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Performance management as a key component of intra-company management calls for the need of collecting more unbiased data in relation to performance management, establishing a better performance feedback mechanism, and training more multidisciplinary talents in the field of performance management. CSR management is challenged by the request for enhancing data integration capabilities, intensifying the transparent management of CSR data and laying down a plurality of CSR information processing mechanisms. To improve the deliverables of in-house performance management, company is advised to use big data technology for improving the capabilities of performance data analysis, constructing the big data-based performance feedback mechanism, and building a team with multidisciplinary members who are capable of using big data technology for performance management; to form a new CSR management system, company is advised to boost the CSR reform that is driven by internal drive, collaboratively establish a reciprocal CSR operation mechanism, and develop a sort of CSR management model that enables crossover integration. In the big data age, company is advised to proactively use big data technology to reform or develop an innovative business management model, which can in turn enhance its capabilities of business management.
