Abstract
It is shown that satisfactory equi‐biaxial strain conditions can be attained in large panels using a conventional load‐splitting tree. Electrical resistance strain gauges show that the strain field is practically uniform and equi‐biaxial over the central 44% (approximately) of the area of a square panel.
