Abstract
Social media is an increasingly important communication modality for the community of academic medicine in general, and neurosurgery in particular, providing rich resources in a accessible, efficient, and convenient format.[1] Approximately 70% of neurosurgeons utilize social media for professional activities [2,3], neurosurgical departments and journals with active social media accounts reportedly have more impactful academic metrics than those without [4,5], and specialized social media teams for peer-reviewed journals increase engagement [6,7].
