Abstract

“I'm a farm kid. I grew up in a small town in Nebraska — there were a whopping 1,000 people in my town,” Jerrid P. Freeman, Ph.D., Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, said. “It was one of those things where college was just not on my radar.” Freeman pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney while playing sports and came to love the higher education environment, going on to earn his master's and doctorate.
