Abstract
SummaryPERA is currently administering 2 government schemes to assist UK manufacturing industry improve its quality, using quality assurance management systems standards BS 5750 as the platform to achieve improved product quality. The two schemes, one consultative and the other financial, offer assistance to small and medium-sized companies in all sectors of manufacturing industry. (Applications for the Financial Assistance Scheme closed in 1986).
