Abstract

The analysis of low and high resolution spectra of the chemically peculiar stars HD 182308 and HD 190229 recorded by the SWP camera on board the International Ultraviolet Explorer reveals no variations of the far-ultraviolet fluxes of these stars. The far-ultraviolet resonance lines of Ga ii and Ga iii are strong absorbers in the spectrum of HD 182308. A search for successive maxima in the TESS lightcurves of HD 182308 and HD 190229 suggests periods close to 19.11 ± 0.15 days and 9.50 ± 0.15 days respectively which could be the rotational periods.
